Weapon of Choice || India Lee

India Lee has shown tremendous adaptability throughout her career in triathlon, enjoying success across a range of distances.

A competitive runner in college, the British athlete was a force over shorter distances during her breakout year in professional triathlon in 2016.

India took victory at the Cagliari ITU Triathlon World Cup and followed up with further wins in the Individual and Mixed Relay races at the Lisbon ETU Triathlon European Championships later that year.

In 2018, she replicated her winning form over longer distances, claiming victory at IRONMAN 70.3 Weymouth. That instant success proved to be no fluke with more 70.3 accolades coming in 2019.

‘Indie’ picked up a win at Lahti in Finland as well as another victory at Weymouth, alongside claiming a very commendable 11th at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice.

India’s display in the PTO 2020 Championship at CHALLENGEDAYTONA® was also one to be proud of. In a field of unprecedented depth and quality, the 32-year-old was consistent across all three disciplines to come home in 18th.

“Wow. What an experience,” she wrote on social media after the race in Florida. “I’m proud of putting myself on the start line @professionaltriathletesorg Championship @challengedaytona.

“Grateful to be able to race at all in 2020, let alone in the biggest race of the year.”

India will be hoping to improve on her current position of #45 in the latest PTO World Rankings with some more impressive results in 2021.
