Matt grew up a water polo player and swimmer, dabbling in other sports in his youth. After a season of swimming at the collegiate level, he turned to triathlon, learning to love the sport on the roads of rural Pennsylvania. Matt saw great success in the amateur ranks, winning multiple 70.3 amateur titles as well as becoming the 2022 USA Triathlon National Champion in the Sprint and Olympic distances.
His debut pro season in 2024 included steadily progressing results, including a breakthrough 12th place at Michigan 70.3 and he is eager to make his mark on races in 2025 and beyond.
Located in Boulder, Colorado, Matt balances professional triathlon with a position as a Senior Systems Engineer for Lockheed Martin.
