The 2019 Austrian National Long Distance Champion, Bianca Steurer has been competing on the professional circuit since 2013 and is a regular on the start line at Challenge and IRONMAN events.
In Bianca’s first pro campaign she was victorious in the Night Race Triathlon Jannersee and made her debut as an elite athlete on the 70.3 circuit.
Between 2014-2016 she earned victories at races in Isamännli, Thurgau and Trans Vorarlberg. She also won the Allgäu Triathlon for a second time, having already prevailed there as an amateur in 2011.
Since 2016, Bianca has been racing for the Skinfit Racing Team and since then she has shown admirable consistency at both 70.3 and full distance.
In 2016 she podiumed at both 70.3 Pescara and Barcelona, while her first full-distance IRONMAN podium came during the 2018 season when she finished third in Italy.
Further impressive performances followed in 2019 with second-place finishes at 70.3 St. Pölten and again over full distance at Klagenfurt in Austria.
Those excellent displays on home soil also earned her a starting place at the 70.3 World Championship, where she finished 37th, as well as a trip to Kona where she would end the race in 30th. The latter failed to beat her best result so far in Hawaii - a 28th back in 2016.
Bianca lives with her partner, and fellow triathlete, Thomas Meusberger in Schwarzenberg and they welcomed their first child into the family - a daughter Lea Maria - in August 2020.
It was Thomas who had first introduced Bianca to endurance sports way back in 2009, initially as a runner. She soon became bored and began cycling and swimming too.
Bianca’s motto is: “If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it - then I can achieve it”.
